Farmers markets aren’t just about supporting good health; getting healthy products from farmers markets supports the people and local businesses who are helping to shape the transition to a healthier lifestyle for all of us…
If you are more conscious about what you eat, or becoming more conscious as it can definitely be a slow process for some, and are seeking a market place where you can find the people and goods who are seeking the same inspiration and motivation you are, the farmers market is the place to go. From nut butters you never thought possible to organic vegan food you only see in recipe books and the fast-growing vegan youtube channels, farmers markets can have just about everything you’ve always dreamed of. Pecan nut better, three herb pesto, and a 1 lb jar of spirulina are just a few things I was able to pick up on my first visit to the Coconut Grove farmers market in Miami, Florida (open every saturday 10 am – 7pm rain or shine).
Besides the amazing produce, homemade vegan breads, and all kinds of juices, herbs, and nuts to rock your vegan world, there are also parents, young artists, and conscious innovators who are contributing great products for seekers, those continuing on or trying to change to a healthy, sustainable, and thriving lifestyle. By supporting the vendors and farmers at farmers markets, you are voting to add fuel to the fast growing movement of sustainable, conscious, and mindful living, a way of life that benefits everyone.
Find a local farmers market, make some new connections, and do what you can to keep the health and vegan movement growing and thriving.
