A home that flows through and around you, can’t be the same home without you…
What came to mind walking through the Everglades National Park recently was that this beautiful landscape and natural habitat wasn’t just a national park, or a cherished ecosystem, but a home. Not a home like a house, or a condo, or any structure built of stone or rock, but a home literally made of life, of organic material, of the spirit of whatever it is that holds the natural world together in an ebb and flow of change and rejuvenation and rebirth. To live in the nature is to live in a stream of constant change, where your home is never the same moment to moment. A new life that is born adds a new sound and vibration, a new leaf or flower adds new colors and shapes, each birth, life, and death of insects, palms, fungi, and birds creates a continuously changing and dancing landscape for each of the lifeforms that take shape. Remove any one of these vital inhabitants, and the landscape loses the essence of what it was, loses a sound that makes the song, a move that makes the dance. No matter how big or how small, every piece is vital to the puzzle, all assembled to make a home of abundance and balance for all.
