The many ways that a body grows and changes is like how a garden grows and changes; the energy that is put into growth will play a big part in what direction that growth will be reflected out. The body, like a garden, has many different changes, on many different levels and cycles, happening at the same time, and in a healthy body and garden, these changes are all benefiting and complementing each other to have the best overall outcome. Fitness, or the condition of the body, mind, and spirit, is the idea and practice of growing and maintaining certain abilities in relation to ones environment. This definition can also apply to gardening, for growing and maintaining certain plants that perform different functions, like muscle fibers in some ways, is the act that manifests the result over time. Starting a garden, like starting to live with a more fitness conscious direction, is a powerful way to realize the connections between the natural world of which we are a part, the choices we make every day, and how the outcome is reflected in how our bodies can bloom over time.
