Turmeric Time – It’s a great seasoning and definitely fun to use to add color to a dish – Sautéed cabbage and bella mushrooms with bit of water, no oil, turmeric, dash of sea salt, and home garden basil, tossed in already cooked pasta, and topped with homemade hummus for extra protein and spinach, shredded carrots for a rawtastic element – look up the benefits of turmeric, then get some!!
Ingredients
- 1 tsp turmeric (or more if desired)
- 2 cups cooked pasta
- 1 cup shredded cabbage
- 1 cup portobella mushrooms
- dash sea salt
- 1/4 cup basil
- 1/2 cup spinach
- 1/2 cup shredded carrots
- 1/2 cup hummus (optional)
Preparation
- In a medium saucepan, saute mushrooms, basil, sea salt, and turmeric in 1/4 cup water for five minutes, then throw in shredded cabbage, pasta, saute for another 3 minutes.
- Put on a plate, and top with spinach, shredded carrots, and hummus, or you can put pasta on top of spinach to steam the leaves a bit
