Homegrown Medicine: Lemongrass Tea

Lemongrass is one of the best plants to grow in your home or office garden.  Easy to grow in the right environment, it has many uses, and is a quick access herb to make a cup of tea, or throw in a soup or stir-fry.  Used in cooking in tropical and sub-tropical climates, It also has many other uses; permaculture teacher  and writer Jonathon Engels writes in One Green Planet: “As with most herbs, lemongrass comes with an assortment of antioxidants, antibacterial, and anti-bad stuff properties. It can be steeped into delicious teas, say combined with ginger or mint, and enjoyed for the flavor while simultaneously helping our bodies.
